Spotify premium 99 cent

Hi, I love Spotify and I'm using it for a year, so I paid something like 120 euros (I'm italian).

Today my brother decided to join Spotify, so he has a three months subscription, 0.99 euros.

The thing i can't understand is why he pays less than me, and I still pay 9.99 euros/month without any kind of promotion.

I think this isn't honest.
