Spotify premium in UK but now moved to Canada

Hey guys,

Just a quick one, im from the UK and have spotify premium there, im currently living in Canada for 2 years and obviously spotify isnt avaialbel on the app store or android store here. Does anyone know how to get my spotify premium here in Canada as the payments are still coming out of my UK bank! Is there a way I can get it on my phone/tablet out here or shall I just cancel my premium account?

Hey @dreaney 🙂 

For android, you can download and install the application manually by going to m.spotify.com from your mobile browser. 

For iOS, its a little more tricky and you will probably need to change your location in App Store to UK if possible to be able to download the app.

Once ive downloaded if how do i install on my phone (its android)

You should just get a prompt to install once you open the file which is downloaded by the browser.

It just downloads then dissapears! Sorry I may be just being stupid but its a new phone, its a HTC one, it downloads the file but then I cannot open nor view it

I don't have an android device, to test this on.

Any apk files get put in the downloads folder. You just open them to launch but need to make sure that android settings/security/unknown sources is enabled.
