Spotify "Gift Card" not usable for 3 months

So, I just bought an Spotify Gift-Card for myself because i didnt knew it was a giftcard, because thats never mentioned on the card!!! Know I was about to buy 3 months with this giftcard but its not possible. My questions now is WHY ?!? That doesnt make any sense, I mean why should I buy this card instead of an Paysafecard then?!? Now i just wasted 10€ for 1 month when i could actually get 3 months. Is there any chance of gettin 3 months?  I mean it wasnt even a gift to someone it was for myself because i thought it would be better for Spotify if i buy Spotify cards instead of an Paysafecard ?

Man i ust made same mistake and i also got 2 more for my little brothers. This is horse**bleep**, same amount of money you would think you get same deal.
