Spotify "forgets" payment details

Hello,

 

I have been using Spotify for a long time... but what annoys me is that about once per year I get a message (in the app and via e-mail) that my payment for Spotify Premium has failed. And I have used the same credit card details since day 1.... never a problem anywhere else... I then log back into my Spotify account, fill out all the payment details and it (hopefully) is resolved. But I don't understand why once in a while I get this error... Any ideas?

Hey there @rethakulveets!

 

Not sure it's Spotify. Sometimes, payment providers force subscriptions to re-enter subscription details as a protection for you and your information.
