I have a Spotify Unlimited subscription, and have been trying to cancel it. I went through and wrote why I want to cancel it (which is because I don't like that I can't browse artists on the app on my iPod Touch, and that Spotify songs can't be added to my Music folder on my iPod), BUT it's not letting me.
I went to type in my Facebook password (since I have the accounts linked) to verify that I want to cancel my subscription, but it kept saying "Incorrect Password". I clicked "Forgot your password?", entered my email address, and because I linked Spotify with my Facebook, it told me to change the password settings in Facebook. So I did that, I changed my password on Facebook, and it's STILL saying it's the incorrect password.
Someone please help me because I'm going insane right now.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Alright, I've figured it out! I didn't realize I needed to make a password for my device (iPod), but when I did and used that password, it worked.
im having the same problem you had. how exactly did you fix it so you could cancel?
You should be able to cancel anytime at https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/cancel/
However, if you find that the website won't accept your password for some reason then we recommend:
1. Trying again in a different web browser
2. Logging out of Facebook entirely before trying to cancel
It appears that in some cases the stored Facebook data on the browser can cause the website to reject your password. But we are working to sort this out, don't worry.
If all else fails, you're free to drop us a line through our contact form and we'll do our best to get back to you as soon as we're able.
I had the same problem, decided to log out from my facbook and spotify accounts, closed all windows, closed my laptop!! and then logged in from my mobile, making sure I was in spotify uk, finally I did it!! on my mobile!! hope it helps the rest!

I'm having the same problem, too. Have you found a solution? You're using Spotify for your computer, right?
Yep! I hadn't realized that I needed to make a password for my device (iPod), but when I did and used that password, it worked!
can anyone tell me ho you solved the problem please?
its driving me nuuuts!!!!
i mean how did u make a password for your device?
I too am having this same problem and I also don't understand what you mean by making a password for your ipod. Can you elaborate?
Thanks,
I'm curious as to where the support is for this company? Why are we unable to cancel a subsciption to something that we choose whether or not we want to pay for? Seriously, I'll never use Spotify again. I used it free for nearly a year, as soon as I went Premium the problems started, and now I can't cancel? Eff you guys.

I had the same exact problem. I had to email Spotify to get it resolved and that was a bit frustrating as it took several exchanges before I was able to be refunded for the amount billed to me after I had attempted the cancellation.

Go to this link after you've logged into your account via Spotify

Hi,
I've been charged from spotify for a month now. I have sent an email previously to say that I wanted to delete my account. I have followed the link to cancel my subscription but spotify keeps saying that I have a free account when I pay for unlimited every month. This is completely outrageous and ridiculous. I've been paying for a device that I don't even use. I'm getting really upset. Please can anyone help me.
Sorry to hear about your problems. I suggest you submit an online contact form and someone at Spotify can look into it for you. If you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply) and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

If you have got in touch before, can you post your case number here and I will pass it over to the staff to chase up for you?
It will be in the first automated email reply you get when you submit a contact form.
If you never got it (be sure to check your spam/junk folders) then get in touch using this form and make sure to reply to the automated email as above 😉

Totally agree - signed up for the 30 days free back in May 2012, decided I couldn't afford/didn't want the premium so cancelled. Then this March I noticed weird charges on my credit card - "Premium X1 544 AU". No idea what they were, bank couldn't tell me. Finally on 6 May the same thing appeared, but this time with Spotify in front of the weird code. Tried to get into my old account and couldn't because I had "forgotten my password" apparently. Really? It works just fine on Facebook. I had deleted Spotify off my devices so wans't even using it! And has anyone tried to actually contact these scammers? No phone number, no email address, no physical address, nothing. Just the Contact form which probably goes into some dead computer. Bank can't stop the charges but has flagged the firm as possible fraud. Someone tell me how to stop these bogus illegal charges and get my stolen money back!
I'm pretty damned upset too! And I also suspect the "contact form" is just another scam from this bunch of thieves and never gets answered. I can't cancel because I can't contact them. I can't log in to cancel because I deleted my account and all the Spotify junk off my devices. I can't contact them in any way because they have no phone number, no email address, no physical address. Be very suspicious of people who make it so difficult to find them. Spread the word - these guys are a total scam!

I can assure you the contact form does go to real people, providing you reply directly to the automated email which you get when you submit it. The contact form is basically the same as emailing Spotify directly but allows the system to scan the message meaning you get a response in the correct language (of which on Spotify there are many!).

So frustrating!!
I tried to cancel my subscription and I keep on getting notices that my card can't be charged but when I log in it says I have a free account.
So cheesy to fool with people like that. Where on earth can you contact someone at the company?????
Sorry for the rant but who has time to fool around with such silliness and it is honestly a horrible business model.
Thanks!
Kathryn
