Spotify won't recognise my Facebook username

My Question or Issue

My profile name on Spotify recently switched from my Facebook name to a string of numbers.  I'm unable to change it or link it back to my FACEBOOK name no matter how many times I've logged out and logged in again. I've even tried reinstalling the app to no avail. Can't find any answers in the community on this as all the solutions simply asked me to log into FACEBOOK.  I logged in using FACEBOOK but my username remains as the string of numbers and when I tap on "Find Friends" in my profile, it looks as if I'm not connected to Facebook.  I went to Facebook settings and i can see spotify connected there! Pls help!!!

That string of characters is your actual Spotify username, which was assigned automatically to you when you created your account through Facebook.

Fortunately, they aren't something you need to remember, since you can simply sign in with your email address.

Sometimes it's displayed like that in the app, but normally it should update itself after a little while with your name.
