Spotify won´t recognize I´m a unlimited suscripter

Solved!

Spotify won´t recognize I´m a unlimited suscripter

Hello,

I´m trying to use Spotify but it does not recognize that I bought an unlimited suscription.

When I check it on my profile everything seems to be fine but when I´m using the program it still plays commercial and I´m still seeing the advertising.

After tryed the contact form a couple of times I´m at the point of unsuscribing of a thing I´m not able to enjoy.

sushicore - It seems that your last payment was unable to be processed. Has your card changed recently? You may need to update your card details over on the subscription page.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem after having installed Spotify on a new laptop. Login goes through but no playlists are synchronised and no unlimited status is recognised.

Frustrating!

Thanks for your help.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

It sounds to me like you might have accidentally created and logged into a duplicate account, that is why all of your playlists and your subscription is missing. Have a go at the steps outlined in this post as they should help you get back into your account. If you have any issues, details of how to get in touch with support are in that post too.

Spotify Premium is required to stream on a mobile device such as an iPad, that is why you are being asked to upgrade on unlimited.

Who's your Spotify Star?

Yes, definetly.

What can I do??

I NEED spotify.

This can happen with the Spotify cache, just clear you cache to do this go to in Spotify, Edit, Preferences go down to cache and from there browse the location and remove all the files in there, it's also better to shut down spotify while doing this as sometimes some files can be locked and be in use by spotify.

Please say if this issue continues.

Also I take it you have a Original spotify account and not a facebook one?

System Specs:
Intel® Core™ i5-2500K Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.70 GHz), 4GB Ram DRR3 (800Mhz), Intel 3000 HD Graphics, 500GB HDD at 5400 RPM, 250GB Extra HDD at 5400RPM, WIn7 Home Premium

I deleted all the files in the com.spotify cache folder and now it´s not letting me log in the program saying that my country does not match etc etc.

hmm, could you try and re-install spotify please, also what country are you from?

Here is the best way I find you can re-install Spotify: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Spotify-Crashes-Version-0-8-3-222-g317ab79d/m-p/9352...

After you done the things in the above link, just re-download and install spotify.

I reinstalled it and it´s still not working.

I´m logging in with my spotify user, the only one I have, not facebook.

It´s the third day I´m paying for a service I can´t use.

No solutions?

I´m from spain, paying with a spanish credit card through PayPal, now travelling in Argentina.

RIght, I think it has something to do with it being a spotify account I have flagged this topic to a staff member for you so there can help but also as it's an account/billing issue I will give you the link to contact spotify directly.

https://www.spotify.com/uk/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-support/?contact

I am not sure, but it could be because you are in Argentina, I think some Spotify services are not in different country's but a Staff member will confirm this.

A member of staff should reply soon to this thread as well.

Ill wait until friday then unsuscribe from Spotify.

Norrpan & Mrietti - I've just sent an email over to both of you. Should be able to sort it.

spotify is big, everyone knows it... why are these things happening to so many people??

thanks, ill wait for a reply

Same here 😞

I'm having the same issue as everyone else it seems. I've upgraded to unlimited, the account says i have but I'm still not able to listen to a song more than 5 times and still have adverts. Any help?

Here's the whole story: I began a free tria, then used it for 2 months on premium I believe. Then I cancelled my premium membership and didn't use Spotify for months. Then today, I decided to get Premium again. I signed in to both Facebook and the user id that is all numbers. When I did this on both my pc and my iPhone, the BOTH do NOT recognize my Premium subscription. I tried to uninstall, reinstall, delete cache, and none of it worked. It still has the option to upgrade in the pc version and tellls me I cannot play songs on demand because I am NOT a premium member. I emailed 2 questions relating to this issue today (Case #: 00229211 and Case #: 00229469) and I have no reply yet. This is not fair. The payment was posted to my account and on Spotify.com my profile says that I AM a premium subscriber. So basically, I am paying for something that does not exist at this point. I need immediate help or a refund. I would prefer to have the issue resolved because I LOVE Spotify service and I would like to be a premium member. Please help ASAP. Thank you.

Hey there, and sorry to hear about trouble with Spotify. Hope you still enjoy your day! 😃

I pass this along to Customer service.

They should help you in 2-3 days after you contacted them. All contact form questions are answered!

Keep an eye on your lovely inbox for response and remember to check junk mail, some mails keep Spotify emails as junk mail. But those mails are not junk mails.

Hi guys,

Looks like there was a little delay in upgrading some users, which now should be sorted. If you could just log out and log in again, you should get your subscription running.

If you're still having trouble, please contact Customer Support. They'll be able to sort it for you. Just head here: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-support
