Spotify wont accept payment information for 3 month premium

My Question or Issue

I registered for Spotify Premium a week ago and I want to try the 3 month free premium. I keep getting an error message "Something went wrong, Try again later". I went through the troubleshooting recommendations but nothing worked:
1)I waited a few days to try again

2)I tried incognito mode

3)I tried both using a credit card as well as paypal

4)The country is correct

5)There are sufficient funds on my account

6)I tried restarting my computer

7) I tried a different computer entirely

8)I have the correct postal code as well as made sure to check the agree to service box

We appreciate you taking the time to let us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far, we'll be happy to explain some more.

 

Another reason why you might have trouble is if the payment methods you're using to get the deal, have been used on Spotify previously.

 

We'd also recommend switching off your VPN if you're using one and giving this a try on a different network.

I have not used Spotify premium before. I signed up for the first time at
the end of May 2020. I'm not using a vpn.

I also tried using a different credit card, and that did not work.


Do you have a stable internet connection?
Did you try using an different account?

You could also make sure that that your card matches all our requirements here,

 

If our earlier suggestions don't solve this, we'd recommend reaching out to our support team here.

 

They should be able to check if everything is okay with your account from Spotify's end.

Hi,

 

1) I have a stable internet connection and my credit card matches the requirements.

2)I called my credit card company to check if there were any blocks on my account, and there was nothing wrong or unusual. 

3)I spoke with a Spotify representative, and they said my Spotify account is eligible for a 3-month free premium.

4) I also tried using a Visa giftcard and that did not work.

 

I am all out of ideas.
