Start my account over and update my email address

I would like to restore my account to its default settings which means I want to start from scratch (remove, playlists, albums, etc.). Also, I would like to update my email address however the system is telling me that my email address is associated with a different account. When I try to retrieve that account information, your site is telling me that it already associated with an active account. I'm at a loss at what to do at this point.
