Stolen Account, still able to connect through Facebook, though

Solved!

Stolen Account, still able to connect through Facebook, though

Hi, since i subscribed in Spotify i was using my facebook account and paid for the premium service.

Everything running fine and all, but later I begun to see some strange behaviors on my account like playlists getting deleted for no reason and new playlist getting followed even when i was sure that i am the only person that uses the account.
In order to prevent that i tried to change my password and that was when i realized i somehow got hacked cuz the email used in the account i've never heard of (symesoscar74@gmail.com). I can't change the password since i can't access this email and in some point me and the owner of this email started a battle of deleting each others playlist, disconnecting each other and etc.

I'm about to stop paying Spotify in this account and start a fresh one, i just didnt want to start all over again, is that a way of changing the email of the account and password by facebook login only?

The credit card used in the payment is in my name if the admins want to be sure of my intentions.

Ps: I tried the support section, but the answer probably went to the stealer, so i couldnt solve it.

Please somebody help me, i'm getting really frustrated.

I have linked to the alternative contact form that allows you to enter a contact email

https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-anonymous/

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

I've just did what you said, is it normal that i didnt received any replys confirming the contact? Already checked the spam folder by the way

The contact form in my post is a different one that allows you to put an email you want them to contact you at in case your account was hacked and the email was changed.

You should get a confirmation email shortly after.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

If you still have not gotten a reply:

Did you get a confirmation email from the contact form? It should be similar to "Spotify Support Case #XXXXXXX". If so, reply back to that email and tell them you still need help.

If you got an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it saying you still need help, even if it's from a no-reply address.

If you never got an email, look in your spam folder to see if there is an email in there. Make sure you are checking the email account you used to sign up to Spotify. You can check the email on your account here.

I just found out the same thing is happening to me.   I stopped using my spotify account about 2 months ago (trying out Google Music) but i continued to pay for my premium account.

Then I realised today from my facebook profile that someone is playing music from my account. I logged into account with facebook, it worked, but then in the account page, there is an nknown email address. So i tried to change the email address, it won't let me cos i need to put in a password, which was changed by the hacker.

Any idea what to do?

Update: After the contact with the Spotify support, they solved the problem for me, and confirmed that my account has been hijacked by someone. They got it back to my mail and told me to change my password, it's all ok now!!!

I'm really impressed how fast they solved my problem, do as MattSuda said and they will recover it for you in no time chiwahwah.
