Hopefully, I can help you out with this. The quickest way to migrate to a student subsciption is by cancelling the account in this case but don't worry as you won't lose any of your information or playlists although you will have to redownload any offline playlists you may have downloaded to an external device. A small price to pay, right?
If you're still uncertain you can email Spotify Care through this contact form though and they can help. They usually take between 24 and 48 hours to get back in touch.
