Student Discount Error

Hi. The discount error was on my part, not Spotify's. I was redeeming my student discount and after I had filled in my card details, it just said "Enjoy Spotify Premium", without asking me to sign up - then I realised my brother was signed in. I'm aware that I can only use my discount for one account at a time, but now my bank card AND my discount are on his account. Is it possible to a) change the bank details so they're just his and b) get my student discount off his account and switch it to mine?

Without logging out from your brother's account, do this to delete your payment info:


1. Go to your Subscription and payment overview -->

2. Click UPDATE DETAILS. If it shows below 'Would you like to cancel your subscription?' click there and cancel.

3. Check the box to 'Remove', and click 'Change' button,

Note: If you have your Premium active you won't be able to remove your payment info. That's why it's important to cancel before clicking UPDATE DETAILS.

For your second question, you need to contact customer support through this link (logged in to your account, or the response will go to your brother's email):


They'll help you out. They take, at the most, 24 hrs to get back to you.

Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.


If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from a no-reply address) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
