Student Discount with Previous Account

I have had a spotify subscription for over a year now and want to activate my student discount. I have my student email but my account was created with a personal email. Is there a way to put in my student email and keep all my 1000 plus songs and this account without starting over?

You don't need to change your account's email address. All you need to do is verifying yourself here: https://spotify.com/student
