Student account switched to a normal account

Why has my account changed from a student account to a normal account?

Hi.

Could it be that you have had the student discount a year? You apply for the discount for 12 months and if you are still a student you can reapply for it.

ok thank you i didnt realise i had been using spotify for that long. I have just done that and resubscribed as a student. Will that also come out this month or will the student subscription start again at the end of the month?

I can't say that I'm entierly sure but you should be able to check what subscription you have here:
https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

I believe you get the Student discount as soon as it's approved.
