Student in a different country

Hello, I am a student in Germany (therefore my account is now in Germany for default, I didn't change that) and I can't pay to get premium because my credit card is from the country I come from. I have a German debit account but not a credit card and when I try to use my card it doesn't let me. My account is linked to my student e-mail, therefore I have student discount (useless because I can't pay). HELP ME!

It doesn't matter if your account is linked to a student email or an email address from another provider. The important part is that you successfully verify yourself as a student on https://spotify.com/student :).

Im confirmed as a student, when I'm paying it says that my credit card is from a different country, so I need to change my country in preferences but it won't let me change it to the country I am from and of course I don't have a german credit card, I tried with paypal but since my billing address is outside germany, it doesn't let me either 😞

I don't think that's the case.

I am having the same problem. I have an italian debit card and I am currently studying in the Uk. Even though I am a verified student, I am still not allowed to upgrade my account to premium because my debit card is Italian, not British.

That's so messed up.

I feel you. Thats' so frustrating and hopefully someone will help us.
