Subscribed, but not getting Premium?

Subscribed, but not getting Premium?

 

If you've paid for Premium but can't use your Premium features (ad-free listening, download music for offline listening, etc.), try the following:

  • Log out and back into your account
    Occasionally this is necessary to force a sync of info between your device and our account system
     
  • Check the status of your subscription
    Go to your subscription page and check that your Premium subscription is still active. 
     
  • Check the status of your payment
    If your Spotify payment is marked as 'pending' on your bank statement, it might not have gone through successfully. For more information, check out payment troubleshooting.

    A pending charge is a part of your bank or credit card company's authorization process. When you submit a payment, your bank or credit card places a temporary authorization on the funds. If the transaction doesn’t successfully complete, no money will be taken and the charge will soon disappear. The time this takes can vary, depending on your bank/credit card company. For more information, contact your bank/credit card company.
     
  • Check that your Premium subscription isn’t on another account
    You might be logged into the wrong account. It's possible to create multiple Spotify accounts, each with their own login details, saved music, and subscription. 

    Check to see if you have any other accounts

Followed the instruction, the PC app Works ok, but Android one doesnt.
IT pops out 48 trial message, blocks me from offline listening and logs me out when i want to use radio feature.

Your email says:

To manage your subscriptions or to change your subscription options, click here.

If this link doesn't work:

  1. Log on to The Spotify Community.
  2. Click My Profile.
  3. Click the Subscriptions & Bookmarks tab.
  4. Change your settings and click Save Changes.

But when I go to the Subsc. page it is only about formatting email messages I get. It has nothing to do with getting the Premium to work. I have never had to stand on my head and go through so much to try and get something to work like this, and it STILL doesn't work. It's back to Pandora for me. At least it works.

Hi there! I'm having the same problem. Just got the Premium account yesterday but my iPad app still shows that I have some hours of license. 

I have followed the steps on the beginning of this post(sing in/ou several times, clean reinstallation) but none of them seemed to work.

Please contact me to fix this.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

 

It sounds like you are still on the 48 hour free premium trial that you get when you first log in on a mobile device. Your normal subscription should resume after that time is up, if not, just redo the steps in the first post 😉

Hi Spotify community, 

 

I've actually had a spotify premium account for about a year now, and just got an iphone.  It does not recognize my spotify premium features when i log in, and i tried uninstalling.  Can someone help?   I get the premium features on my ipad and computer, but i should be able to get it onto all of my devices, no?

Yes, you should be able to access your account on any device. What error message are you getting? 

Also, are you 100% sure you are using the same login details as you use on all your other devices?

Hi Peter, 

 

Thanks for the quick response!  Yes, I have: 

 

1) logged into my account on my computer to ensure my premium status is still active.  (also, just yesterday received paypal confirmation that i paid)

 

2) confirmed that my login on my iphone is the same (username: boloh88)

 

Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot this issue?  The premium features are still not being accessed on my iphone, but are fine on my ipad.

PS.  My personalized folders are showing up on the iphone, just not allowing me to access music on demand.  So i know i'm logged in correctly, just not sure why the premium features are not working.  

Strange, can you try logging out of Spotify on the iPhone, fully restarting the device and the trying to log in again?

I joined spotify and completed the 48 h testing time. Now i got e-mail that i can take a 1month free premium trial. When a try to activate it, i get a message that says i cant get it because i have already used it???

Jola - What's happened is yov'e made two accounts on the system. The one you made via your Facebook was upgraded. Not to worry, we can sort this out.

I have the same issue. Yesterday my Spotify worked on my mobile, but today I tried to listen music but it says I have to be a premium user which I am. Just to be sure I needed to check it out. At first i upgraded spotify - didn't work, then I log out and in again (few times actually) didn't work, reinstalled it (few times as well) and still not working? On my desktop it works out great.. What could be the problem?

The "clean reinstallation" step fix the program i was having..

Hello,

 

I signed up to test the Premium package for the 30 day trial and continued the service. I have paid the 9.99 fee for 2 months now however my account is set as "Spotify Free" instead of Premium. I tried uninstalling the product on both my desktop and my iPhone but all it did was give me Premium service for a few days.

 

Can someone help me get Spotify to recognize me as a Premium customer?
