Subscribed by someone whom I have no connection with?

Subscribed by someone whom I have no connection with?

I recently took a vacation to a city in California where I later discovered that someone from that region subscribed to one of my playlists. I'm not friends with this person, nor are any of my friends. Just curious how this is able to happen?

If that playlist is public, then that playlist could come up when searching for similar things. So, for example, searching for Lady Gaga will also bring up playlists with Lady Gaga in them, and then people can subscribe to them.

You can change the settings of your playlists on your Profile page within Spotify, and clicking "Edit"
