I accidentally put my information in for a student account, up until I came to the page that asked for school confirmation. I realized I had the incorrect sign up section and did not fill out the confirmation section. However I was still charged the $4.99 plus tax. Id like to cancel this since I am obviously not a student. And besides, it did not change my subscription status, therefore I was charged but am still on Spotify free.

For this type of issue I'd recommend you contact support as they can help you with your billing, please explain your problem to them and they'll be happy to help.

If you receive an automated email directing you to the community and/or help boards, make sure you reply directly to that email (even if it says it is no-reply) and an agent will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you didn't receive an email receipt from Spotify, it's likely a pending charge that will be returned back to your account (around 2 days depends on your bank).
