Why does the bank send me 2-3 times each month that my card has been authorised for 8.99? Does this mean that it withdraws more than once each month or it's just checking if the amount of money is available?

Contact the payments team directly at online contact form and they can look at what's going on. If you receive an automated e-mail directing you back to the community, just reply to it and you should receive a reply from a representative within 24-48 hours.
