Switched phones and got strange user name + LOST my playlists

Switched phones and got strange user name + LOST my playlists

I switched phones (Android) and when I installed Spotify in the new device I saw that my user name was letters and numbers AND all my playlists are gone. 

I checked on my old device again, but it is the same, no playlists. 

I am registered as a "family Member".  My husband removed me from the account + readd me again- still no success. 

How can I get my playlists again?

It sounds like you might have accidentally created a new account with us. This would explain why you're having troubles finding content you've saved - there's more info on that here.

 

In that case, we'd recommend following the steps in this Spotify Answer to locate your original account.

 

To avoid future mix-ups, once you've located your original account, we'd recommend following the steps in this Spotify Answer to close any accounts you won't be using.
