Switching from a Facebook login to a standard username & password login

I am looking for a way to switch from a facebook login (logging in via my facebook account instead of using a standard username & password combo) to a the username & password combo.

I want to be able to connect my spotify account with 3rd parties (i.e. Mint.com, to track my account bill) and it appears this isn't available if you have a facebook login account.

Is it possible to do this or will I need to create an entirely new account? If I do need to create a new account, how can I transfer my playlists as well as the student pricing I have on my current account?

Hey @Jameshamburg,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to disconnect your Spotify account from your Facebook account if you've signed up to Spotify via Facebook. You could reach out to Spotify Support so they can move all your stuff (such as Playlists, saved Music etc.) from your current Spotify account to a new Spotify account.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the Knowledgebase or the Spotify Community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Spotify Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
