Tracks Disappearing on Spotify?

Tracks Disappearing on Spotify?

First of all, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, I didn't really see a completely fit place to put it.

I ran a quick search in the forums, as well as on Google, and I just can't seem to find a straight answer on this.

About a month ago, I noticed that alot of the songs I listen to were getting deleted/privatized on Spotify, such as E.T. by Klaypex, and a few others. I figured there was a problem with the copyright, since it was a remix.

However, today I logged on and one of my most frequently listened-to albums (Speed of Darkness by Flogging Molly) is gone! According to a few links on Google, some companies have pulled out of Spotify. However, this doesn't seem like it could be the case, because all of Flogging Molly's and Klaypex's albums/songs are still available.

Could somebody shed some light on what this is all about?

Thanks,

-Bruce

I am having a question about the same thing myself. I had several songs from different artists and albums; one week they are there the next gone. Explanation not in the U.S. Anymore???? Like bunch of songs on Complete 90's album, and that's not the only one...... Can someone tell me what is up? Thank you.

Well the curious sort of person I am I looked for these missing albums to see if they were in U.S. and yes they are Amazone in fact I find one of them on also Last FM; so what is with that?????

I would also like to add my sorrow here. I am being charged on regular basis for using Spotify but some tracks are being regulary deleted.

Can those tracks be restored or i need to stop using Spotify?

I was trying to search for them but it looks like they are gone for good. In this case it was Music from W. A. Mozart

Sincerely,
R.

The reason is that the artist or their music label has likely decided to remove it from Spotify.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.
Spotify has no control over what content is available.

Sometimes it is only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others.
Sometimes the album or song will be unavailable temporary, and come back again later.

Yeah like Mozart just woke up from the dead and said "you won't listen to my music". What world are we living in? I pay and i cant listen to stuff that was available before.
