I would like to know how to cancel my membership in order to join my husband's family membership.
When I try to join it, it says that I am unable to join because I already have another membership. However, on my phone app my premium membership stopped working and switched to free.

Did you pay your regular subscription through iTunes?
Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.
After that, check the status of your subscription. For you to accept the invite it should show as 'Free'.
