Trouble with playlists

Hi, I've held off using Spotify because I like the way I have my music organized in iTunes and I have no interest in re-inventing the wheel. I heard Spotify will import your playlists and I thought that's the answer to my dilemma. I went into preferences and under local files, iTunes is checked as is Music. I went to File>Import Playlist>iTunes and nothing happens. Is it supposed to do something? I also noticed a lot of red files under Local Files, I clicked get rid of DRM files, please tell me it doesn't get rid of them but just doesn't play them in Spotify. Two questions, sorry.

That is correct, Spotify will not remove any files from your iTunes or hard drive. 

Are you using Windows or Mac?
