Turning off "Show my current Top Artists" doesn't work

I turned off "Show my current Top Artists" in settings for Windows version and I exited Spotify, then I opened up Spotify again, went to settings, and then "Show my current Top Artists" was automatically turned back on.

What device, operating system, and Spotify version are you running? How long has this been going on for? 

Does logging out and back in make a difference? You can also try reinstalling following these steps.

Windows 10 PC, latest Spotify version. It has been going on for a month. Logging in and out doesn't make a difference as I said in the OP.
