Two accounts with the same email address

My Question or Issue

I appear to have two accounts with the same email address. One with a long numeric username and one with a username I chose (the account I am posting here with). If I do a password reset then it does the numeric one. I don't remember ever setting up a numeric one. How do I close that and keep this one?

Sadly you cant delete/close accounts

Closing isn't the issue, I don't understand how there can even be two with the same email address?

Well you can have a Facebook linked account and a email

No worries, you can close an account with these instructions. If you close the account you don't want, you'll be left with one account that uses your email address and this will enable you to request a new password for said account.
