Unable to accept invitation from Family Premium

Unable to accept invitation from Family Premium

Hi there,

 

I was on Spotify Premium previously, and then I canceled it. After that I started a Family Premium plan. But after that I found out my family already invited me from their family premium plan so I just cancel my family premium and want to accept the invitation they sent me. But I can't and the message says I'm already a member of a Family plan. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi Xiaotong,

 

Welcome to Spotify Community!

 

Your issue is normal as you really can't combine two Premium for Family subscriptions. Since you are currently on a Premium for Family subscription, you really can't accept the invitation that was sent to you by your family.

 

How can it be rectified? You'll just need to contact Spotify Customer Support to fully cancel your subscription. You can also ask for a refund if you just recently upgraded to Premium for Family. That info is here, and that's how Spotify loves us.

 

Once the support has canceled your subscription, you will then revert to the Free service and you can now accept the invitation to join the Premium for Family. More information can be found here.
