Unable to change from premium to student

I keep getting this error message:

Sorry, you cannot sign up for a student discount while being on Premium.

I have premium and I am a student, I am thus trying to get the 50% student discount.

I am slso having this problem. There is a support page this is supposed to be answering this question,  but the error message mentioned above comes up after one of the first steps. Do we just need to unsubscribe and resubscribe after under the student discount?
