I just stopped my Premium account, so will be effective till mid august.

My Question or Issue

Since I have moved a country from USA to Japan, I have been on premium paying with my US credit card. However, since it didn't really make sense for me to keep using my US credit card, I want to switch to the credit card issued in Japan. So I tried to switch my account from USA to Japan under my profile setting. It was grayed out, and there was a link under about changing the country. I went to the link and they told me to change under the payment method. I tried to change it there, and when I clicked "Japan," the web page takes me to the premium plans and there's an error message saying "Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium." Not sure why this is happening. 

Could you let me know if I need to re-create an account again with the Japanese Spotify page or is there a way to fix this?

Thanks for coming to the Community.

 

In this case, I recommend just waiting until your current subscription has ended. After it has ended, you can simply update your country setting through the dropdown menu on your account page

 

Once that's done, you'll be able to subscribe to Premium here using your new payment method from Japan.
