Unable to receive email to set a password for my devices

Unable to receive email to set a password for my devices

Hi,

 

I'm new to Spotify and signed up primarily so I can listen via my Sonos Connect.  Since I cannot log into Spotify on my Connect with Facebook credentials, I need a username and password to do so.

 

I've gone thru the process about 5 times where Spotify tells me "An email featuring your device username and a link to set your password has been sent to 'my email address'."  I've tried this using 3 different browsers:  Chrome, I.E., and Firefox.

 

I'm not receiving the email with the info.  I've checked my junk mail filter.  It's not there.  

 

Any ideas?  Is there an alternate way to contact Spotify to get this info?

Hi, and welcome to the communnity!

 

Firstly, have you tried using a different email address?

If it still doesn't work, try submitting an online contact form; and someone at Spotify should be able to do it for you.

If you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

Hi AnthonyB,

 

I tried changing my primary email address on Facebook to my Gmail account rather than my work account.  I was able to do this, but when asking Sonon to send the code it's still sending it to my work email address.  I suppose I'll try the online contact form now.

I'm having the same problem. I use facebook to log in. I have tried three times and have not received the email with my device password. 

@rosierose Just check that the correct email address is shown in your account overview then use the contact form, Anthony linked to above.

Thank you @jwylot!  definitely have the correct email listed in account overview, and I just used the online contact form so I'll hopefully have a response soon. I wanted to let the community know this has happened to more than a couple people.
