Unable to send messages?

I am completely unable to send or reply to messages within spotify (both on my desktop and on my Iphone). I am guessing that maybe there is something wrong with my account, but I have no idea what...

When I reply to a message, I can see my reply and it looks like it was sent. But then if I close and re-open spotify it is gone and the recipient never receives the messages. I also have no option to send messages in any way. Any ideas???

I am not sure that is the same problem... 

I can see my messages and read messages from other people. I am just unable to send any (either a new message or a reply to someone else's). I don't see the rotating wheel described in the other post either. Perhaps this is a different issue?

Ok, nevermind. Sppotify just updated and now I am having the same error as others were describing. I just see a wheel turning and nothing happens.
