Unable to sign in from iPad app

Hi, I am new to spotify.

I downloaded iPad app and when I went to try and log on it says it cannot merge with Facebook account. I am confused as if I try and log onspotify.com it has no problem using the Facebook account details. What am I doing wrong? I would really like to start using the app!!!

So you have signed up on Spotify via Facebook credentials? Now you are trying to log in from iPad Spotify app with the same Facebook credentials and you get an error message?

You have a Premium Subscription? If not, that is needed for mobile device ability.

I do have premium subscription and it still says I cannot merge the Facebook account... Is there anything else I can do?
