Unable to switch to Spotify Student

I am currently subscribed to premium, however, I would like to switch to the student discount. The support pages say to go to the Spotify.com/student and click "Get Premium" but when I try to do this it just takes me to my account settings, not the page where I fill in my school information. Any ideas?

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

I had the same issue and contacted Spotify Support. They got back to me quickly and told me the only way they have been able to apply student discounts when people already have accounts is to create a new account for the individual. Kind of drag, but they said they are trying to fix the issue...it's been about a month so hoping changes sooner than later. They also noted they could move your currently saved songs to the new account and the student premium fee would then apply to the new account.

Thanks. Don't know why they didn't tell me this. They made up some guff about my card not being valid. Any idea how you can move your saved songs?
