Underaged familymember cannot be admitted?

My Question or Issue

Hello, I've just updated my Spotify account to Premium, so my husband and my 7 year old son can use Spotify. For my son I created a gmail account. 

But the problem is when I e-mail the Premium family link to his e-mail account the link says: You cannot be admitted to your own Premium account.  

So, what to do now? I really want my son to have his own account, so my account doesn't have to play all of his music.

Keep in mind that every owner of a Spotify account must be of a legal age in order to use the service. The minimum age required may vary across different countries.
