Unfairly charged with student discount, possibly recurring

Unfairly charged with student discount, possibly recurring

Hi, last month on March 12 I tried to avail the student discount but was unable to provide proper proof after I had already entered my credit card information. I wasn't given premium with that transaction (take note of this). No big deal, so I just subscribed to the regular premium using a different payment method.

However, upon checking my bank statement today, I was charged with the student premium price on March 12. I'm willing to let the first charge go, but I'm concerned that it might charge me for it again tomorrow on April 12 when my supposed student premium expires.

How can I ensure that it won't charge me again tomorrow and so on?

Hey @ijbcatimpo,

It’s very likely just a pending charge if you haven’t received a receipt from Spotify via Email 🙂

A pending charge is a part of your bank or credit card company’s authorization process. When you submit a payment, they place a temporary authorization on the funds.

If the transaction doesn’t successfully complete, no money will be taken and the charge will soon disappear. The time this takes can vary, depending on your bank/credit card company. For more information, contact your bank/credit card company.
