Unknown device connects automatically (Premium for Family acc.)

Solved!

Unknown device connects automatically (Premium for Family acc.)

Hi,

I have a Premium Family account. Since today one of my account is getting crazy. I see that there is always a device is connected (from webbrowser) and when i'm playing music, suddenly it switches to that "webbrowser" device, and it mutes on my device (it can be app on my computer, or the handy), and i see on my device that the playing is continuing (without sound, so its "playing" on that unkonw device).

I already tried the following:

1. Changing password.

2. Disconnecting all devices

3. Login wiht the new password.

(also tried first disconnect, than changing passwd). None helped. At point 3. when i connect again with the new password, the unknown device is there again! It can't be that another device automatically reconnects with the new password, so i think it might be a bug in the Spotify application itself. The problem is the same when i try to listen music on the handy, or on the computer (never mind if application or webbrowser).

Other accounts in my Premium Family package is working fine, the problem is only with one account.

Please advice me what should we do.

Thanks

Br

Laszlo

Hiya.

The easiest way to fix bugs with spotify (I am assuming you are using it on your pc) is to simply reinstall the application.

Have you looked if your webrowser has some sort of plugin that is using spotify? Maybe to download songs or anything like that? If so remove it.

Are you able to listen to spotify in your browser? You can do this by simply seaching for a playlist openning it.

Finally, I believe there is a privacy setting area in your account settings that may would be able to help you.

But just to restate, I would recommend you redownload the app, again change password, unlink facebook and other applications. Ask everyone to log out of the account. Just those sort of things.. But it sounds like it is a bug, so a fresh reinstall shoud work.

Hope this helped (:

Tried your suggestion, and it seems that it solved. Since that we did not get any problem. Thank you very much! 😉
