Can someone PLEASE tell me how to unsubscribe from Spotify's email list? I continually get emails from this **bleep** company and there is no way to get them to stop sending them. I've tried everything and their emails just won't stop.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I'm having the same problem as above. I've disabled all email notiications, but it only worked for my primary email adress. My facebook email adress keeps getting daily notifications. How can i disable all emails for all email adresses?
Thanks.
I have read along this forum in search of the same answers as everyone else. It took awhile but I think I fixed it. And now that I fixed it I will be deleting Spotify for bad business practices. You moderators are obviously not listening to the most major concern of these people. And that is how are these duplicate accounts getting made without peoples knowledge?? I keep hearing oh you must have accidentally made a duplicate account as an answer. My question is how does so many people make a duplicate account without knowing it? Are there hidden check mark boxes during sign up that we are all missing that's telling us if you don't want us setting up duplicate accounts on you uncheck here???
I too also did the unsubscribe from the email it was getting sent to. It told me "unsubscribe complete" and they kept coming! So "unsubscribe" means "unsubscribe" to me. Then you confirmed I was unsubscribed when I wasn't. Know one told me I had to go into my account to unchecked boxes until I found this forum on my own search. Now if that is truly how to unsubscribe from your emails. Then why put unsubscribe in the email? And why did it say confirmed?? That unsubscribe page from the email should unchecked the boxes for you like it says "unsubscribe confirmed"!!! You guys are sneaky, and I don't like it. Back to Pandora. By Spotify it was not a pleasure dealing with you.
@Genevieve88 - If you drop the support team an email directly using the online contact form they will be able to lend a hand to do that for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
Alternatively, if you prefer support via Twitter, please tweet @SpotifyCares.
@schwag420 - The duplicate account issue is caused by having two different methods to log into Spotify as well as some complications with the Facebook integration. Essentially from my experience on the community there are three main reasons accounts get duplicated:
- New user registers without Facebook, so they have a Spotify username. At some point, they log in using their email address rather than their username on any of the Spotify apps, it is unclear but entering an email address into the login box always authenticates via Facebook, so in doing this if it is the same email you use on Facebook it will automatically create a Spotify account using your Facebook for you.
- New user registers using Facebook. At some point they are messing around with their Facebook account settings and remove the Spotify app which has permission to do various things on your profile. Since that app holds the link between your Facebook login and your true Spotify account, when you remove it an log in again the system can't locate an account tied to your Facebook details so creates a new one for you. The old account still exists but you can't access it.
- New user registers using Facebook, but shares a device with someone who has a Spotify login. On mobile devices it is pretty common for accounts to become merged, when they get split again the original Facebook account will have been lost similar to the above.
Ultimately, the blame lies with both Spotify and users (who can't seemingly log in using the correct details a lot of the time).

I unchecked the boxes months ago and continue to receive emails from Spotify. I also sent in a complaint a week or two ago about this subject and just today got another email!!! This is a terrible business practice.
This is ridiculous. Not only am I not able to get to a page that lets me untick any boxes, when I get an email and want to click "unsubscribe" there is actually no link on the text that says "unsubscribe". I can never actually click on anything.
I don't even use spotify, i only logged in once to try it and now i get these emails.
I have tried numerous times to unsubscribe from almost daily emails. The link doesn't work and I have updated my profile so that I shouldn't reveive any. How can I stop these SPAM emails?
I also cannot get the emails to stop. I have only one account. I've clicked unsubscribe countless times and turned every possible notification off. Please stop the emails! This has made me seriously dislike Spotify.
Also receiving emails on my account. Unsubscribed many times already but no luck...
Add me to the list of unhappy people. I have only one email address associated with Spotify, I have unsubscribed probably a dozen times, and I've turned off all notifications. Please stop sending me f@#$^($ emails.
Hi,
I do not have my account connected through facebook but I am receiving emails every single day from spotify and it seriously is starting to feel like abuse. I need these emails to stop. I have gone into my account and clicked unsubscribe from everything and made sure I clicked unsubscribe from news emails as well. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me this is beyond frustrating to wake up every day with more emails from spotify when I thought I fixed the problem.
Please remove me from the email list as well. I have turned off notifications across the board but still get emails every day. It is very frustrated and annoying. Looking at this post makes me think this is deliberate. I don't have a Facebook account because when I try to log in with Facebook it tells me I already have an account with that email address.
I keep unsubscribing from all Spotofy emails, yet somehow they keep coming. Not a happy camper at all! I'm left with no option but to change my email on my spotify account into a dummy address or one that I never check, in case I lose my password.
Spotify, please fix this issue!
Looks like I have the same problem everyone else does, and unsubscribing in a different browser/deleting cookies does nothing. Please fix this issue.
Nah, that was never checked on my account. Still sent me emails pretty much daily.
