Updating Facebook email not working

So I want to deactivate my Facebook account and use Spotify as a standalone app using the numerical log in username. However, I cannot access my email account linked to my Facebook and so cannot create a password for Spotify. I have changed my Facebook email to one that is accessible but my old one still shows on the spotify account page, how long does this take to change?

Since your account was created through Facebook, you won't be able to use it without having that profile active.
