Updating credit card info

I received a pop-up notice within the Spotify app that I must update my payment details.  This is true, my old card was cancelled and new card reissued.  However,. I tried to update the information and it takes my card Info  and such, then asked for student verification. The student verification failed.  While my card is charges 4.99 four times the card info is not updated in the account settings.  Please advise a course of action.

If your account still shows as Free on the Subscription page, you can check the status of the charges on your bank statement. If they appear as pending/pre-auth/processing, this might explain things: https://support.spotify.com/article/pending-charges/.

Upon canceling my premium account I was then led to the proper form to enter my new credit card.  Problem; after repeated attempts to enter the credit card I was consistently given notice that Spotify like the entry.  Solution; I used my PayPal account for Spotify payments.  This is certainly a glitchy system.
