Updating credit card

Updating credit card

Hello,

I am trying to update my credit card expiration date for 3 accounts.

It is not working.

I keep getting the sema message, saying the webpage couldn't update my payment details.

The reason isn't mentioned.

How do I proceed? All my credit card data are still valid, and only the expiration date has been extended.

If I cannot update with this information, payment will fail.

Please advise

Kind regards

Eric

Hello Matt,

Thanks for your reply. I followed your advice and hope support will have a solution.

Eric

Hello Matt,

I am sorry to say Support is not responding at all.

I have sent my request a second time, but to no avail so far.

Repeated attempts to update my credit card data have been unsuccessful, ending in the same nondescript error message.

Spotify is not going to be able to collect my payments this way and I will lose access to my Spotify account.

I have a valid card, but no way to get my current details to Spotify...

 Are there any other options?

Kind regards,

Eric

Hey @DRSPOT,

I've checked and can see that our support team has already tried to reply to your email. However, the delivery failed.

Can you please send me a private message with any other email address that we could contact you on?

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks!

Hi there

I too have got a new credit card (as my other one was destroyed)

I have tried to update my card several times - yet it is incorrectly displaying 201*-0*-01 as an expiry date

*In Australia, we ONLY use a month and year - NOT a date = the correct expiry for my card is 201*-0*

(I have blanked out the correct details with a * for this post only)

Can someone please get through to Spotify support who have not replied to 2 emails now and I want my service to continue ASAP!!

It will not update correctly at all - and I am at a loss as to how to get my account working again!!

Thankyou!!!

They have NOT properly read my issue - I AM able to update details - BUT Spotify is putting a day date on to this - and it is NOT how AUstralian credit cards work!!

We do NOT have a day (date) we ONLY have the month and year of expiration = eg: 2019-09 NOT 2019-09-02

When I updated my details (which has actually happened) it has somehow added a day date amd instead of displaying 2019-09 (which IS correct) it is displaying 2019-09-02 (which is NOT correct)

The person who replied to me has given me a silly 'generic' cookies website reply and NOT actually read my issue properly.

Very disappointing from Spotify's support team!!

Can ANYONE please help fix this????

@lisadm1973

We don't have an expiry date either here in the USA, but on my account page it shows

"Card expires on

2018-04-01"

When my card actually expires 2018-04 (month and year)

My subscription works just fine though.

Even though the page shows an expiry date, it should not affect your subscription. Your subscription should work just fine.

Is your subscription working?
