Upgrade Spotify Premium into Spotify Family is not working

Upgrade Spotify Premium into Spotify Family is not working

Few weeks ago I upgraded my account from Spotify Premium into Spotify Family. Until 2 days ago everything worked fine, but now I have an Spotify Free account.

I already logged out and logged in again; re-installed Spotify app on my mobile, but didn't solve my problem. Any suggestions about a solution?

Hey Rianne,

It is highly unlikely that Spotify has disabled your subscription.

Please check that you have logged in with the right email, or that you have not signed in with a duplicate account. A good way to do this is to:

  • Try signing in with Facebook.
  • Try using a different common email you own.
  • Try using a different username to login.

If you still cannot login to your Premium account:

  • Check your subscription page. Your status should be Premium.
  • If you're on Premium, try signing out and back into the app.
  • If it says Free, check the receipt we send to your email inbox. Make sure you're signing in with the username on that receipt. If the username on your receipt is a 10 digit number, please sign in with your Facebook login details.

If you have lost full access to the significant account, please refer to the links below to contact a Spotify employee so that he can take a look under the hood.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunalely the suggested solution is not working. I have only one Spotify account which I upgraded few weeks ago into Spotify Family.

Hey Rianne, thank you for your reply!

It is quite unfortunate that we couldn't help you solve this issue.

Please fill out this Contact form, so that a Spotify employee can take a look!

I have exactly the same problem. I have recently subscribed to the premium for family account (from a premium account) and now my account details say that I have spotify free and I cannot see my discover weekly playlist anymore. Have you already solved the problem Rianne?

Hey @paula_thijs,

Please refer to my first comment, where I fully explain the common issue of duplicate accounts :).

If that doesn't help you, please fill out this Contact form, so that a Spotify employee can take a look!

Thank you for your reply Savvas. Indeed it looks like I have two accounts, of which one is linked to facebook. Is there a way to merge these accounts into one account, or can I safely remove one without losing my playlists etc.?

Hey @paula_thijs

If you want to transfer a Spotify account to a new Facebook account, or remove a Facebook account and keep playlists you need to fill out this Contact form so that a Spotify employee can take a look! A Spotify employee will get in touch with you shortly after the form has been submitted via email.
