Upgrade to family with pre-paid account?

I was gifted a year of Spotify premium. I am now interested in upgrading to the family plan so I can add my wife to my plan. I have ~6 months left on my pre-paid account. This is worth roughly $10/M, the family plan is obviously $15. I would hope that this pre-paid amount just gets applied to the Family plan until it is used up, then I get billed via credit card.

Can someone confirm that is how it works?

My fear is that I'll get billed $15 next month and my "pre paid" credits will go away.

Hey @aceith,

When you upgrade your subscription from regular Premium to Premium for Family, any remaining time that you've already paid for will be converted into a Premium for Family subscription, so this can bring your next payment date forward. You can review your renewal date on the subscription page.
