Upgrading from premium to premium family

I have a student premium account right now. I just graduated and so will no longer be eligible anyway. I would like to continue with a family account instead, but it wasn't clear from the form that if I upgraded via the web interface it wouldn't also continue my student premium subscription. Will I need to cancel that subscription after I sign up for family or will it automatically end it?

Also, I have it on automatic pay and the payment just came out on the 17th for my student subscription. Can I have that payment applied towards the family account, since it's just been a few days?
