Currently signed into Spotify with my Facebook account and under Privacy Settings, “Process my Facebook data” is enabled. Spotify is an active app listed on my Facebook. However, after signing up for Spotify Premium my name no longer appears. Instead is a long 10-digit number. This is unacceptable. Everyone searches for my playlist series on Spotify via my username. How can we get this remedied swiftly? I need my username to appear. Otherwise, it destroys the purpose of purchasing a Premium account.

Kindly advise.

Your username is designed to identify you on Spotify, so it can’t change. A display name replaces the username where it shows on your profile, app, playlists, and Friend Activity. There is some more information on this and steps on how to do this here.
