Username a series of random letters and numbers

My Question or Issue

 I have put in my username as izabelao but all that comes up whenever I see my profile is a series of random numbers and letters. Why is this so ? Does this mean that this is my actual username for some reason or just a glitch?

Hope you're doing great! 

That's a great question. As Spotify looks to improve the experience, they're now automatically generating usernames, hence the random numbers and letters.

Right now, it's not possible to change your username, although there are some alternative options, which you can learn more about here.
