Username changes to jibberish

When I log on to my account my username says what it is supposed to. However when I click on upgrade it turns into ;alksjd;lfkja;slkdjf;laksjd;flkj aka jibberish. When I go to the "help" portion of the menu it goes back to my normal username. I do not want to provide my payment information when it changes my username to something else. It also does not give me the option to pay with paypal under student discount premium option.

Unfortunately, you can only subscribe to the Student Discount using the available payment methods. If the payment method you’d like to use isn’t being offered to you on the payment page, then it’s most likely not available at the moment.

Regarding your username, did you sign up to Spotify via Facebook?
