Username turned into random gibberish

I created a free account a few days ago under a username I chose. Suddenly my user name is appearing under my account settings and on the main page as a string of random gibberish (it looks like a keyboard smash). Weirdly when I clicked on the "help" section it reverted back to the original username, and it shows the my correct username on the link I shared to a playlist the other day. Is this a weird glitch with my laptop and if not is there anyway to change it?
