My Question or Issue

'Edited out for security'. I've cancelled my account several times but it still finds my email address. I cant sign up again to create a new name. Is it because my partner sends me the family plan code? Do I need to set up my own account? If so I wont be doing that.

uhh you shouldn't have stated that your username is the same as your password...

Thanks for reaching out! 

It sounds like you've entered your password in the "How should we call you" field. This can happen but no worries. You can first close your account. Then your email address will be freed up and you can create a new account with it. After that you can enter the display name you would like to have in your Spotify account.

This is what I dont understand I definitely diddnt fill out my password in that section. It's not done this from the start it's only recently shown up. I've closed my account twice now to try and resolve it but no luck.

I've changed my music streaming service now so all fine.
