Using one account for multiple streams on Amazon Echo

Solved!

Using one account for multiple streams on Amazon Echo

Hi, i have been looking around for a solution to this but have yet to find it.

I have a Sonos system, 3 Amazon Echos and 2 Android phones. I would like to use Spotify Family to use them all simultaneously but the Echo's can only take on one account and i dont want the complexity of splitting up the whole system and playlists and sharing across multiple accounts.

What i want to get is 1 account only accross all the devices that can enable 6 streams, not 6 accounts enabling 1 stream each.

is this possible?

Hey @aonfc,

Unfortunately it's not possible to do that. You can only stream on one device at a time. If you begin playback on another device, the playback on your current device will be paused.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response Maxim, if it can't do it then it can't do it I guess. Will keep hunting for a more elegant solution than splitting everything up

Thanks

I have the same issue, I have 3 Amazon Echos and a Google Home device but my real problem is the Echo devices, you can't sign in with a different user names for each device, under any of the music services. As an example, i have Netflix and Sling TV, both allow multible streams that are all tied to a single username, once you start a stream that is over that limit, say 3, the first stream will be stoped once the 4th stream starts. Why can't Spotify or ANY other music streaming service work like that?? I would be happy to pay for the family plan once that is available but not until then... Thank you in advance for fixing this issue.
