Vodafone and Spotify problem!

Vodafone and Spotify problem!

Hello new here. I was recently contacted by Vodafone and got my contract upgraded so I have Spotify until the end of my contract. After receiving the link from Vodafone to link my existing account I went through all the options but when it gets to the final page I get the error - We're sorry but we couldn't complete your subscription request. Please try again later and if the problem persists visit our FAQs for more information. FAQs

Vodafone tech are no use whatsoever with this, I cancelled my Spotify subscription but still have just under a month till it goes to free, do I have to wait till then to do it. Tried loads of times now but keep getting the same message.
Hope someone can help as I'm tearing my hair out.

That is odd. Have you tried clearing out your browser's cache memory or opening an incognito window and trying the process again?

Tried both of those things and even tried a different browser and I'm still getting the same message, this is so annoying!

Hey @Ash1683! Can you provide a screenshot of the error message? Also what country are you located in? We may need to try a different link to get the accounts linked.

@Ash1683 After reviewing the screenshot and Vodafone's FAQ, looks like you'll need to wait until your account reverts back to Free. Once that happens, text Entertainment to 97613 for a new link to get your subscription activated.

 

If it still doesn't work by then, let me know and we'll do some more troubleshooting!

Thanks, I can only assume that's what it is, tried everything else Inc. different devices and browser's etc. I'll keep you posted. 

Hi guys, just to let you know I waited till I switched to free then tried again and it worked! Thanks for the advice it's just a shame after spending 2 hours on the phone to the Vodafone so called tech team they couldn't provide me with this information. Just one of the many reasons I won't be renewing by contract with them, they're a joke.

I'm having the same problem as Ash. 

 

Its been two days and I still cant solve the problem.

 

Vodafone havent got a clue on how to fix this.

My problem got sorted dude, I had to cancel my existing subscription to premium and had to wait for my account to go to free again which in my case took about a month because I'd just started paying for a new month. When your account has switched back to free try doing it again, i was tearing my hair out for days and spent about 2 hours on the phone to Vodafone who really had no clue.

I've literally tried everything and it didn't work.

I had to wait for Vodafone to make the changes on their side. Their customer service is absolutely terrible and slow.

It just started working this morning.

Thanks for the help anyway.

i have the excat same error message appearing however i created a new account to join spotify so have never had a premium account and i am a new vodafone customer rather annoying as i only switched networks to take advantage of this offer
